The Writer's Studio, Writing & Publishing Program, Simon Fraser University
I received my Certificate in Creative Writing from this award winning program. The Writer’s Studio is a part-time, one-year program which includes a dynamic blend of one-on-one consults with mentors, biweekly workshops in a mentor’s group, courses, readings, mentor salons, learning an aspect of book production via our anthology, and ongoing alumni activities. As a result of this program, a number of us formed emdash collective, a B.C. based writers group that has met every 2 weeks since our inception in 2005.

Arthur Murray Dance Studio - Vancouver
During the years I looked after my mother, these world class dance teachers provided me with excellent teaching, a much needed creative outlet, and the opportunity for artistic expression. My immersion into narrative dance pieces formed a parallel and instructive role as I wrote my work of non-fiction. Choreography and dance coaching for the adaptation of The Other Side of Here to the stage, will be undertaken at this marvelous studio.
